• Museum Hours

• The Museum is now open until mid-December.
  The Museum is open on Friday and Saturday afternoons from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Other times are available by arrangement.

• Support 

• The Museum receives the generous support of the Dexter Area Historical Society. Members of the DAHSAM help maintain the Museum and Gordon Hall. Each March the DAHSAM sponsors the Pioneer Arts Fair, a major fund raising event for the Museum.
• 
  The Museum also enjoys the support of the Dexter Heritage Guild. The Guild sponsors a Christmas Bazaar and the annual Antique Appraisal Clinic. Both events are important fund raisers for the Museum.

Dexter Area Historical Society Meetings

The Dexter Area Historical Society Board normally meets on the first Thursday of each month at 7:30 PM at the Museum or in the summer at Gordon Hall. The annual membership meeting is usually held each February.

Welcome to the DAHS&M website!

Located in the Village of Dexter, Michigan, the Dexter Area Historical Museum serves as western Washtenaw County's link with history. The museum is housed in the former St. Andrew's United Church of Christ, built in 1883. The building was moved one block to the corner of Inverness and Fourth streets, to allow the construction of the current St. Andrew's. The museum contains a large display area, a genealogical library, a local history library, and the Corner Gift Shop.

DAHS&M Presented A Spring ANTIQUE APPRAISAL CLINIC
Spring is here and so was the annual Antique Appraisal Clinic conducted by the DuMouchelles Art Gallery on Saturday, May 5th. Proceeds and donations benefit the operation and preservation of the Dexter Area Museum.
